Overview

Mission is seeking a Policy Manager or Senior Policy Manager to support our clients across the advanced energy, national security, and emerging technology sectors. The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of relevant experience (4+ years for Senior Manager) and a demonstrated interest in the federal policy, regulatory, and political drivers shaping advanced technologies, supply chain security, and domestic manufacturing capacity.

A strong candidate will be a true team player who serves senior team members across practice areas, produces high-quality written work under deadline, and is ready to begin establishing direct credibility with clients and federal stakeholders. Prior exposure to Congress, the Administration, government affairs, or advocacy is preferred. The position will report to a member of Mission's senior team.

Responsibilities

• Serve senior staff across practice areas as a true team player, consistently meeting expectations for responsiveness, quality, and accountability
• Support the analysis and monitoring of legislative, regulatory, and policy developments across nuclear energy, critical minerals, and associated supply chains
• Contribute to legislative and policy design and research, and to the development and execution of multi-pronged government affairs strategies
• Draft high-quality written deliverables for clients, including memos, issue trackers, one-pagers, and coalition materials
• Help identify and maintain relationships with Congressional offices, DOE, NRC, DOI, DoW, national laboratories, and industry stakeholders
• Coordinate and support in-person visits between clients and federal stakeholders in the Washington, DC metro area
• Prepare clients for Congressional meetings, hearings, and other federal legislative and regulatory proceedings
