Overview

Mission is seeking a Director or Senior Director to support our clients across the advanced energy, national security, and emerging technology sectors. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of relevant experience (7+ years for Senior Director) and demonstrated relationships across the federal policy, regulatory, and political landscape shaping advanced energy technologies, supply chain security, and domestic manufacturing capacity.

A strong candidate will be a demonstrated leader able to manage complex client workstreams, support multiple senior team members, and contribute independently to client strategy and execution. Experience with federal policymaking, client management, lobbying, and the political process is expected. Deep understanding of federal financing and funding mechanisms and subject matter expertise in nuclear energy or critical minerals is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support legislative and policy design and research, contributing to multi-pronged government affairs strategies
• Proactively lead the analysis and monitoring of legislative, regulatory, and policy developments affecting clients' interests
• Draft high-quality written deliverables for clients, including memos, issue trackers, one-pagers, and coalition materials
• Identify and maintain relationships with Congressional offices, DOE, NRC, DOI, DOD, national laboratories, and industry stakeholders
• Represent clients in meetings with Congress, the Administration, and external stakeholders with professionalism and sound judgment
• Contribute meaningfully to business development, including pitch calls and drafting well-written proposals
• Effectively manage, mentor, and develop junior colleagues
